You're talking as if she will eventually have to pick someone to kill to get it haha. You just can't say they trained the same way, that's completely untrue bro. even tho they both were focusing on the change in chakra form and nature, Naruto's was completely and utterly different from Boruto's and that's a fact. Because Naruto had Kurama's massive chakra reserve Kakashi was able to take a separate approach. Like for example, Naruto was able to utilize his multi shadow clone jutsu to develop the technique. One can even go a bit further and use the desired results as an argument as well and say that Boruto's end result aligned with Kakashi's is to simply increase the power of the rasengan using a change in nature and form but not change the jutsu entirely while with Naruto's training, Kakshi was actually trying to evolve the jutsu in a way in which an entirely new jutsu is made utilizing form and nature and not to simply just boost its power.

I just rewatched Itachi clip, super sad, got me very emotional, but indicates that Sarada does not actually have to kill someone close to her, just needs that level of emotions running through her as if she did.
Sasuke is asking about her eyes, because he understands they are also a curse, and that loss of vision is part of it, though it usually starts taking effect with the use of mangekyo. Gosh, she'll eventually have to learn about the eternal mangekyo too, but feel like that's easy. When Sasuke is about to die, just give her his eyes.
